1-Which of these two HQ is better

Captain: Artificer armour, teeth of Terra, melta bombs

OR

Emperor Champion

2-What kind of unit should escort him ?

Add 20 points to the Captain and he can have the Burning Blade instead. He'll basically be the 5th edition Emperor's Champion on steroids. Unfortunately, the new Emperor's Champion just isn't worth it. Too fragile and too little oomph.

Good good ! And what unit should go with him ?

I prefer teeth of terra and lighting claws two get an extra attack and escort him with either assult termies or centurions for a deathstar assult platform. Then maximize range on everyone else.

I'd go big! A 20 man crusader squad, ten Initiates and ten Neophytes. Neophytes all have pistol/ccw, one Initiate with power weapon, another with a Meltagun. Have another upgraded to Sword Brethren with a Power fist (with the Champion in the unit you don't have to worry about him getting taken out via challenges).

300 points, but with the champion/captain leading them will violate any unit it charges.
