My main question is what point level should I be aiming for with the following at my disposal. Also other list suggestions would rock!

Here's my inventory as it stands now. (* = NIB) Mostly it's all painted

HQ:
- Vulkan
- Libby in Terminator armor
- Captain

TROOPS:
- 10x Tac (7 bolters, ML, Flamer, and Sgt w/Chain Sword) - The AoBR guys

- Drop Pod*
- Drop Pod*
- Drop Pod*

OTHER:
- LotD Heavy Flamer*
- LotD MM
- 4x MM
- 1x Combi-Flamer
- 1xSgt w/ PF

I guess I've worked backwards to most players... I've been more of a "collector" of marines as a secondary force to my orks. I've painted them all as Salamanders and have collected other SM models just for fun, painted them and put them in a box. I'd like to try to put a good list together I'm just a little lost. Thanks for any help.

Perfect! Thanks. This is what you inspired me to do. Recently I've been playing CSM (3 Heldrakes), Nidzilla, Eldar. The only issue is that I have to scrounge one basic marine for the sternguard. What do you think?

Still bummed that my dreads and other vehicles don't get twin linked MM or Flamers anymore.

Take off the Sternguard's PF, Add a Skyhammer ML to the Stormtalon. Add 2 HK missiles to a Dreadnought, then add melta bombs to a Sgt. I'd assume you're running a combat squaded 5 man in the razorback while the other stays back? I'd think about a 10 man Tac with Vulkan in the StormRaven.

Yes combat squad the tacs. some in the Aegis and maybe grab a neighborhood objective or two.Considering having Vulkan on the gun.

I was confused on the PF with the Sgt. Seems like most marine folks don't use them. You can tell I'm an Ork player (too many list builds with Nobz Power Klaws and Boss Poles I guess). Plus I already painted him. Melta bombs check.

Dreads... Isn't the HK missle a one shot? That's better than a 24" shot you can use over and over (Melta)?

Regarding actually "using" the storm raven for what it was intended? Ehhhhhh. I dunnooooo... I've played against a loaded stormraven once. It was in tourney, I was Orks. My squad of lootas killed it before it could disgorge the contents. I think everything in it to S10 or 9 or 8 auto hits. It was brutal hit to my opponent as it was full of Grey Knight Purifiers. I felt bad for him. All dead and dead bird. That was vs Orks. What about vs Tau? I just threw up a little in my mouth thinking about it. So I'm hesitant to put use it as a transport just because of that antecdotal evidence.

In this edition Storm Ravens are just bad to use as a transport. Only put things in them if you are trying to start with NOTHING on the board turn1.

And Feesible your thinking of IronClad Dreadnaughts. Normal dreads may in fact NOT take a HK.

Theres no point in using a Stormraven if you aren't gonna use it for Transport. You should use 2 Stormtalons. He'stan is too good to man an Aegis. Why use a power fist on 5 man squad who have some of the best and most diverse shooting in the game. At 25 points? No. Anyway you drop pod turn one, so you won't be able to charge. My bad on the Hunter Killer Missiles, I only use Ironclads as, honestly I see them as the only viable dreadnought. Hunter Killers are always good, a missile into rear armor is never a joke.
