Bob Olley has posted this stuff over on Frothers and I'm sure there will be interest in it here too

Hello Frothers, First Pictures of Kickstarter Steam Punk Scrunts, made in Multi Parts with all miniatures having separate interchangeable heads, arms and steamer packs. Following these will be extra arm/weapon variations and other heads. There will also be some fixed one piece sculpts with just head swap/ separate weapon changes. As you can see the set will offer a great amount of possibilities and variations. It will be going up as a crowd funding project on kickstarter in the very near future

This KS is not yet live (before anybody asks for a link)

for those who don't know he also sells a wide range of space dwarves (Scrunts) via his Olleys Armies website

Hrrrrrrrrm, those are kinda nifty, but the 'trying to be modular' arms I think hurts the design.

I would have liked to see a more fluid model with less customizable options.

I think you will see a bunch of squat lovers digging these models.

You literally cannot please everyone.

There is a word for a wargamer with an empty paint bench.

They look neat but the shoulders... I'm not sold on those. Look like guardsmen shoulders or something.

I like these a lot, but yeah, I'd prefer the shoulder pad to either be optional or have a lot more detail. (And/or choices, e.g. military officer shoulder pads, heavily armoured shoulder pads, etc? Ideally they'd be modular, but that might be too fiddly...)

So long as Olley can provide a good choice of arms, including generic weapon/tool grips so modellers can add their own weapons/tools, so that these can count-as a huge variety of things in various gaming systems, I think it's a winner.

Oh I know... but I have seen models which have integrated but detatched arms which someone can easily slap a random space marine arm on. The arms seem 'slapped on' and unmatching. 1-handing heavy weapons hurts model designs IMHO, would have been better with a 2-handed cross the body design which would have still allowed for armswaps.

I am sure people will like them, and will probably just not use the arms as-is

He did modular arms with the Space Dwarf Berserkers he made for Fantastic Miniatures a number of years back, they all looked fine
