Umm... the self-introduction has allways been the most hardest step to do while joining a from so bare with me if it's not done as decently as other have.

Okay about myself.... I'm just another girl who has actually never played the actual game (40K tabletop). I have bought, assembled and painted (not with good quallity, but meeh) 40K models. Also I've made like... hundreds of army lists. Why army lists? Well to me, they are basically nothing else than shopping lists. Like choosing by whim (and hoping that they are effective) what I want and try to stay beneath the maxium point limit. Like window shopping, while making shopping lists, about things that I never can afford (won't prevent me from buying tiny bit of it at a time though).

I love the dark universume of the 40K. No matter how badly you are doing in our universe, there are allways much worse scenarios in that one (with few exeptions not counted). The factions are truly different, there's army boys in uniforms some of the energy weapons (which I normally hate in other sci-fis) are laughable weak, fanatics and so many other great and humorous (atleast to me) elements that eventually made this so epic in my eyes. I've bought multiple codexes, just becouse I wanted to learn more of this universe, to see how different factions saw the same universe, why something acted in the way they did. If I'd placed as much effort to my school I'd ended up having best grades I'd believe. xP Anyways... the universume was addicting. I ended up reading through the lore section of units from IG so many times that I lost count.

Why I never played the game was... actually due to fact that I chickened out every time at my last hometown. In my current one, here there's no active players nor hobby shops for that matter. So I guess that I'll just be waiting for new IG codex to arrive, to have something to do. Can't go to other towns due to logistic problems.

Lastly: why I joined? Well when ever I was looking for knowledge or inspiration about 40K, I ended up here. I've read many, many threads here and watched some battle-repots just for fun. No matter what I looked for, here allways seem to be one of the answers. So I just decided to join aswell. Thanks for reading! And thank you for many well made articles!

Welcome Oiniane,

The nice thing that I have enjoyed is the different types of individuals that are around here: gamers/non-gamers; painters/non-painters admiring those who do; or what ever else you can imagine. That and the people have been pretty friendly. Enjoy your stay!

Hi,

Welcome to Dakka
