If only Battle Wagons could contest objectives, yes. Somehow I fear your min troops will suffer a horrible death once the B-wagons start to pop.

Consider sticking a single big shoota on the wagons.
In the event of a weapon destroyed result, your wagon will be immobalised. Making those death rollas useless.

I play 3 BW with a normal loadout of DR +1 BS frequently. Rarely is there a penetrating hit that does not cause an "Explodes" result. That's why there isn't one.

Has anyone ever played a list like this at 2k? I know it goes against our motto "Boyz before Toyz." But it seems worth the target saturation. I'd be able to field this, but the Nobz wouldn't be completely WYSIWYG and I'd proxy 2 rhinos and 3 trukks as BW. Would you let me in a friendly game?

Correct me if I am mistaken, but I believe that in 6th ed. You can take double the force organisation if you are 2k points or above, so if you wanted, you could have double the amount of wagons! (because enough, is never enough! )

Not that that's the best idea. I agree with what's been said already, your nobs squads are too small. Consider consolidating them into larger squads and having some B-Wagons empty.

If the wagons were empty, then the Boyz will be on foot, unless as you said, double FOC was in effect.
