Would love to hear your thoughts on a 750 point list for use at local FLGS -- take all comers, literally!
HQ:
Spiritseer (will ride in the WS)
Troops:
5 Rangers
5 Wraithguard in a Wave Serpent with Twin-Linked Scatter Laser and Shuriken Cannon
Heavy Support:
2 War Walker Squadron - one with Starcannon and Brightlance, one with Scatter Laser and Starcannon
Falcon with Brightlance and Shuriken Cannon
750 on the nose.
The weapons load outs on the war walker with starcannon/brightlance are not adjustable; the other war walker is freely adjustable provided that I don't go with duplicate weapons. Likewise, the tanks main armament is freely adjustable provided I don't use the same main gun on both tanks.
I have a number of other models painted and ready to substitute in if it's felt that they might be stronger:
Maugan Ra and Baharroth
2 Vintage 1st edition eldar leaders who can be used for farseers, autarchs, etc. on foot
5 more Rangers
14 Storm Guardians with 2 Fusion Guns
10 Striking Scorpions with a Scorpion's Claw
7 Fire Dragons with a Firepike
5 more Wraithguard
8 Swooping Hawks
7 vintage 1st edition eldar with missile launchers and lascannons that could be used as Dark Reapers
Your thoughts and advice appreciated!

Looks good enough. Only thing I would change is how you build your list-split up the walkers. Outflank the scatter/shuri to take out backfield issues, and use the other at range to shoot armor, terminators and MC's.

The most important rule of 40K-Page XVII of the 6th edition rulebook, the figure at the top right of the page. "Shake hands with your opponent and thank them for a good battle and fun experience." Then go out for a beer.

i would be tempted to find space for the other unit of wraithguard, but the list you have is pretty solid.

Thanks, gents!
I like the idea of splitting the walkers and outflanking one, I will definitely try this out.
I also would love to see more wraithguard make the cut, but I would need to pull both walkers plus the Rangers, and would wind up with points left over.
Perhaps in a 1k version of the list; although they would be on foot.
Speaking of which, what would be recommended as next in line to bring it up to 1k?
Cheers,
V

personally, im sorry but this list doesnt apeal to me. Ist, that falcon needs to go. in its place, get a wave serpent. much more competitive. also cheaper, with more transport capacity, and puts out more damage than falcon. snd, shame that that war walkers wepaons cant be change, because its not a good combo. Bl and starcannons dont do amazing together. better to have 2X Bl, or Scatter starcannon. you could proxy it. because right now, that list wont take all comers.

No need to apologize - this is why I ask for feedback!
Agreed that the falcon is weaker than a serpent, and the starcannon/brightlance walker isn't optimal.
What from my inventory would you substitute in? Just for background, this is a beautiful old first/third edition army painted by my wife, and my painting output across the last thirty years only averages 10-15 minis per year, so for the short term at least I will be using the existing inventory.
I totally agree that a serpent list would be optimal - if I were going to drop a bunch of unpainted minis on the table, I would go with a mantle autarch, x squads of avengers in serpents, walker squadrons - you all know the generic tournament builds.
Thanks!
