Hey guys! I'm on my way to build myself an eldar/dark eldar army of jetbikes and skimming things. Ive decided to go with Lugganath, as I've not seen it done before in grand scale and I could make the fluff work with the dark eldar allies. I'm going to paint one unit at a time, and post the pictures up.

Up first are the jetbikes for the warlocks and farseers. The bikes are modified reavers, on loan from the dark eldar; the reason why the back fin is missing - is because the conversion i've done has a cloaked rider, and the cloak rests over that spot.. The riders will be made up of about 4 different kits.

Remember these are WIP.. The colors are a mix of about 8 colors to create a candy metallic paint. Very subtle, and almost more so with pictures taken from a phone. Gotta see the sheen in person.

I'm still trying to decide what color to make the hull of the bike. I'm thinking of just darkening down the pale gold.

Suggestions please!

I also used Dark Eldar bikes for my council, they really are so much better, i assume your not going to put the upright spine on the back of the bike, but you might want to consider putting just the cut off bases into the slot in the back to get a smooth look. I did it with mine and it looks nice, just make sure to file everything down to a consistant level.

Also how are you going to do the catapult, I bought bits of them, but I soon found that they are too big for the reavers so i cut them in the middle and made them slimmer.

Thanks for the reply. You wont be able to see the open part where the spine goes when the rider is on the bike. I'm just going to leave catapult that comes with the reaver kit. There are no shuriken cannons on warlock bikes so it's easy to leave them as the dark eldar weapons.

What kind of rider are you putting on there?

Unless your green stuffing a huge cloak your going to have the hole behind the seat showing.

Also i know its alot more work and sourcing the parts is a pain, but having the twin linked catapult on there instead of the single dark eldar gun makes a pretty big difference in how the model looks as a whole. It moves it pretty far away from dark eldar and firmly into eldar.

Shadow warrior cloak, body, sword, dark eldar rider legs and helmet. If for some reason it shows a gap (which it hasn't when dry fitting) I'll put the plug in.

I'll probably just leave the gun as is - but If i can find some catapults I may add em in.. it's just a quick snip

Update soon. Any suggestions for colors on the hull? I was thinking just darken it up a bit. I ordered some shuriken guns to put on these.

It's a striking color scheme and one I can't say I've seen used before on Eldar. It kind of reminds me of the old Cobra Alley Vipers though.

Love the colors. Reminds me of Dukes of Hazard.

Inside your mind, corrupting the pathways

Some serious threadnomancy here

However, some great painting and excellent craftworld choice (even if I do say so myself ).
