I didn't get any advice with my previous topic, I figured through saying too much Or lack of pre-made army lists to critique or something.
But in regards to a 2000pt 'friendly' list i.e I'm not spamming LR's or grav guns as I could be, I've come up with this list which I'm hoping
will still have some kick to it and while being 'fun' might still be mildly competitive! Enough so for a local GW or gaming club.

I know I will struggle with flyer heavy lists though I'm honestly hoping to be able to 'ignore' fliers though at the local GW or gaming club I
don't expect to be playing against super flyer spam lists.

I like bikes, kinda iffy about having them as they'res only 3 though. Tempted to swap out for more assault marines!

Anyway here's the list - Critique feelings, advice, comments wanted!

Moloc and the chaplain are forge world, heads of the minotour chapter.

They grant preferred enemy space marines. Moloc has a 1 handed relic blade with a 12" str8 AP2 1 use ranged attack, a storm shield and can't be instant killed.

The chaplain has regular power armor and rozarius ofc, will be fielded with the command squad giving them +2 attacks on the charge which means that with the banner as well they will be running into combat at +1str AP3 melee attacks 2 basic +1 banner +2 charging so pumping out around 25 str 5 ap 3 attacks while there save is a 3+/3+/5+ (feel no pain)

I'm hoping against marines with the preferred enemy rule that will break any marine unit they come up against. If they're not up against marines dropping to AP4 after the first round of combat shouldn't be a big deal.

The vanguard vets work in the exact same way however they have jump packs and no feel no pain and only wrack up 3 attacks on the charge but will be supported hopefully by the full unit of assault marines.

Moloc will be with the terminators making them fearless also.

The spartan assault tank is a forgeworld tank, its much like a regular land raider except it has 5HP's instead of 4, two dual mounted twin linked lascannons in each side = heavy 2 twin linked lascannon basically. and a big laser on the front that counts as ordnance for armor penetration (giving it armor bane basically) str 9 ap2 but unlike a landraider it has a wasted 26 crew space. Will most likely be deployed with the terminators inside.

Oh it also has cermite plating which stops meltas from getting there 2d6 armor pen.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
I've gone for a lot of 3+ invuln spam

Units with 3+ invuln

Command squad + feel no pain

Terminator squad

Vanguard veteran squad

Legion of the damned.

In fact the only thing without a 3+ invuln is the assault marines and regular tacticals.

My main comment would be that you might need another scoring unit, maybe scouts, 2 seems a bit light.

The other is what is the purpose of the 2nd assault sqaud? You have a the vanguard and command squad for CC already. I would think about dropping them and adding 5 vanilla vets to the vanguard unit. Thats 5 pts more a model for an extra attack and adds some bulk to the vet unit and with the leftover pts can pick up another scoring unit.

So these guys fought in the badab wars, im not familiar with those since i havent read the forgeworld stuff, but are they good or bad since they use the space marine codex but have space marine preferred enemy? or was the babad war a civil war with no good or bad chapters just a lot of space marine fighting? can you fill in the lore for me?

Thats a decent point with the assault marines, I could drop those and free points for a scout unit. I have to admit I didn't think of it like that would also make them better CC then assault marines having the 2 attack profile +1 for close combat and pistol (as I wouldn't be able to afford giving them storm shields) +1 on the charge +1 for the banner thats 5 attacks each with chain weapons on the charge from those extra 5 is another 25 attacks I didn't think about.

I want to keep the power weapon and storm shield but thinking about the amount of additional attacks that could be gotten from not having them is pain staking I don't know what I would spend the extra on and it would take away from there killy a bit.

It would make it difficult for me to not run the chaplain with them (as he can have a jump pack) and give them 6 attacks each.

5pts per model means they will cost an extra 25 ontop so the points gained from releasing them might not be as much as would be initially.

As for the chapter the babad war they were called in because since there re-emergence, believed to be one of the 21st (and cursed) founding legions that went off the radar they have returned and are seen as agents of the high lords of terra, employed to hunt down wayward space marine chapters and hit them back in line. It also makes them one of the most highly funded chapters in existence with an arsenal that grows every time they are brought in to defeat another space marine chapter / chapter master as they take from there defeated bretheren's armoury.

Thats been going on for over 500 years which has given them the preferred enemy space marines. They spend more time keeping other marines in check then they do fighting xeno's or heretical forces.
