So I've hit most of my painting targets this month so I've earnt a treat or two! Looking to get some bits for my Orks from FW, how do the following perform as I don't want to buy stuff that tanks on the table:

Kill Krusha
Meka Dread
Mega Dread
Big Traxx with Supa Cannon
Warcopta

anything else I should be looking at for the boys?

grot tanks are pretty fun. They are better war buggies with a 5+ inv save. Hordes of scorching grot tanks are pretty annoying to get rid of and actually pose a pretty big threat. Plus they are cheap in point cost and can be kit bashed together from a few hot wheels toys and a bag of ork bits.

Edit: or you can go hilarious and grab a grot mega-tank and outfit it with 2x TL and 2 scorchas (and a big shoota on the other side because you need to take 5 weapons) and doom kanisters for 125 points. AV12 with 5+ inv, but it can move 2d6 per turn for free and fire all weapons independently. Also with 4 scorchas it can broadside all of them at one target for a pretty impressive attack.

They do look like fun, and Ramshackle do some nice small tanks that will be fine for these. Anything else?

Imperial Armour 8 has a the option for a Pain Boss for the Dread Mob. He is base like 50 points to give any unit FNP. The Dread Mob counts as Battle Brother allies with Orks. You have to take 1+ Spanna Boy Mobz for troops when you take the Dread Mob. Spanna Boyz are the same as regular Boyz, 6 points apiece, but with a max of 20 and no Nob option, just a Mekboy character upgrade. However, for every Pain Boss you take, you can give a unit of Spanna Boyz Cybork Bodies for 3 points. I run a Pain Boss with 20 Cyborked Spanna Boyz as a 180 point 5++/FNP meat shield and providing a 5+ cover for a Green Tide behind them. Sometimes I cover the Tide from Barrage with a KFF, sometimes I take 2 Bike Bosses in the Tide or with Snikrot to jump the back line. Sometimes I put the Pain Boss with Snikrot, maxed out Kommandos, and a Bike Boss with a KFF Big Mek running a Tide or BW rush.

I don't write the rules. My ego just lives and dies by them one model at a time.

I was told on Dakka that the Grot Bomb Launcher was updated in the new Apocalypse book. I don't know if any of the IA8 units were updated as well.

Some were yes. But nothing major that should change your builds. Grot Bomma Laucher is 35 pts one shot. I manage at 1750 to have Nine deffrollas, Twenty-one skorchas, Thirteen grot bomms, plus some big shootas and a supa-kannon. If you check that link above you will see the new stats.
