For some reason my pc monitors don't get signal (they go through all signal outputs and then say "no signal")

So far I've tried rebooting and checking if all cables are well connected.

Google said I should remove cmos battery but I don't want to do that yet as that would also reset my cpu oc settings.

Any ideas?

Every time I hear "in my opinion" or "just my opinion" makes me want to strangle a puppy. People use their opinions as a shield that other poeple can't critisize and that is bs.

If you can't defend or won't defend your opinion then that "opinion" is bs. Stop trying to tip-toe and defend what you believe in.

Probably work

You're probably better off going to a real computer forum for this, tomshardware or somewhere like that.

Long as you're here though...

I don't think it has anything to do with your CMOS battery.

Do you appear to have control over your computer otherwise? If you hit the caps lock button, does your keyboard light toggle? If not, it sounds like you're not actually booting properly. Could be a hardware issue.

Do you have multiple monitors? If you only have one, and you turn the monitor off and then back on, does it flicker on for a second before going blank again? Do you have another monitor you can test your pc on, and another pc you can test your monitor on?

Do you get any post beeps during startup? Do you have another video card you can test with?

do you see the BIOS and such flash then it goes no signal after windows loads or do you always see nothing?

As far as I know everything works as usual. Pc boots normally (I can hear windows start, and kb&m seem to work fine)

Monitors themselves also seem to work fine (currently I'm viewing dakka on laptop which streams to one of my monitors)

Only "spare" monitor is my laptop monitor. Also all three desktop monitors are identical.

-if you have verified the monitor works on another machine (with same cable) and your bios doens't flash, I'd think its one of the following

1. short in the connector, check for a broken pin hanging out inside the female plug

2. you're using an addon card and the computer forgot about it and is sending the video signal to the port on the motherboard/builtin, connect with motherboard connector and correct bios/windows config to the external

3. your card has died, since bios won't even display I highly doubt is something software based

1. All 3 cables at the same time?

2. My mobo is asus m4a87td and I don't think there is a on board gpu.

3. You scare me and the gpu fan is working. Also wouldn't get error sounds if gpu was not working?

Have you tried testing all the cables and monitors elsewhere? If you have then try replacing the cable on one of them.
Also try disconnecting all but one and trying to boot with them one at a time.

And finally, how old is your computer/are your monitors?

Monitors work fine and while I can't test the cables themselves I find highly unlikely that they all (3) brake at the same time. I'll try tomorrow changing the location of each cable (for some reason that seems to work sometimes)

All components are less than 3 years (monitors and gpu are newest) old apart from hdd which might easily be 5-10 years old.

Yes, this is why googling "mac no display" yields zero results, instead of, say, 77 million.
