a 1500 point necron list quite close combat but i like it would like what works and doesnt work about the list and what would help it

zahndrekh will go into the warrior unit using his orb and putting furious charge, hit and run and counter attack on the lychguard, obyron will go into the lychguard to be protected by the 4++ wraiths jump up the board providing support for the lychguard aswell as tying up mean elite units and MC's the barges are there for anti air aswell as hiting high toughness units and MC's and the immortals capture objectives in the center of the board and provide support fire for the warriors

May I ask why not go with tesla on the immortals instead of the gauss? If you're going to take gauss why not just go with more warriors to save some points. Sure the save is a +4, but you free up 80 points for the same amount of models, cut 10 points else where and you have another annihilation barge.

Now if you were using tesla I would say stick with the immortals.

I'd have to agree with the immortals. Tesla is of more benefit due to a greater potential high rate of fire which a CC oriented army needs to support it. Especially since the last thing you want is to get those lychguard caught in a tar pit of a full boyz squad when the immortals can thin them out before they hit their lines.

A single Harbinger Of Despair with a Veil Of Darkness is only 60 pts compared to Vargard Obyron's 160 pt cost. Is the Vargard in all practicality actually worth a full 100 points more that might otherwise be spent to add a Night Scythe or an additional Annihilation Barge (each with twin-linked tesla destructors) to the army list?
