Hello everyone, i play dark angels and i just wanted to know if i could attach an allied chapter master (in TDA) to my Deathwing Knights when they deep strike in or if i would have to deep strike him in all by his lonesome then try to attach him once they land in?

If he has the deep strike rule, he can drop with them.

In your example, a Space Marine Chapter Master in TDA can join a Dark Angels Deathwing Terminators Squad and be deployed with them via deep strike. You can do this bcouse Dark Angels and Space Marines are batle brothers, and IC can join units from a detachment of battle brothers. All the models are equiped with TDA and that gives them deepstrike.

Note, that you will have to roll for these reserves as normal. The Chapter Master will not have Deathwing Assault, and when he joins the unit with Deathwing Assault they will no longer be allowed to use it. There are still a few reasons to take Deathwing Terminators (being able to split fire the Orbital Strike) but the Space Marine Terminator Squads are cheaper.

I'm sorry I don't have the new SM codex, but are they able to take heavy weapons like assault cannons in the same squads as TH/SS like deathwing can

No they cannot, the Deathwing are still the most customizable units of Terminators out there because of the sheer variety of both ranged and melee weapons they can get.

Most customizable terminator units, least customizable terminator characters.
