Just seeking clarification on how the lieutenant special order works in link teams. The LSO can only be used on the lieutenant, or in the case of a sectorial it can make a new link team. But can the LSO be used by a lieutenant in a link team? If he can use it, does he have to be the link team leader?

The only thing regarding it I could find in the rules was that when the LSO is used to make a new link team, the current one is broken and the newly formed one cannot use it as a regular order. It just forms it. But this doesn't involve anything about the original link team the lieutenant is part of using it. In the games today, we just said the LSO was lost when he's in a link team, which is kinda lame but then being able to use it was deemed more unfair than its loss. So what do you people do with it?

The best place to look to see if something breaks a Link is here:

'If the Lieutenant is part of a Linked Team, whether the Leader or not, and uses his Lieutenant Special Order, he will automatically leave the Team.'

Cheers,

Only had the book at the store and couldn't see it in there. Had a squizz on the wiki just before but for some reason never thought to look that up. Obvious in hindsight.
