So just been roped into a tourny by a 40k buddy, I have had about 5 games of WFB but picked it up quite quickly (well the basics....) and just been roped into a tourny to fill the numbers, fun!.

This is what i am thinking, swedish comp'ed at 2400pts

i have all this pretty much ready to go, painted and based. Have to borrow 10 plague bearers and buy and paint another 10 and a herald of nurgle Saturday in time for the tourny on sunday....

I run mainly Tzeentch in 40k but below is what i have

Lord of change (usually use him as fateweaver to be honest)

55 bloodletters (was told they are good in fantasy, meh, currently all on ebay...)

3 nurgling bases (can put another few together)
4 beasts of nurgle
3 fiends of slaanesh
30 flesh hounds
10 flamers of tzeentch
10 screamers of tzeentch
10 chaos furies (acutally gargoyles, fine in 40k but little too big for fantasy)

Skull cannon (hellcannon pretending to be a skull cannon, currently also on the bay as plan to replace with two proper skull cannons)
2x burning chariots of tzeentch

Swedish comp score is 6.2 for the above list, dirty i know but have been told there is a 0.3 HE list in there as well....


Few early thoughts, daemonettes as chaff or nurglings?, 12 wounds for the nurglings for same cost and scout, plan is chaff and picking on their chaff units. I only have 4 beasts of nurgle (read chaos spawn....) but could possibly get two more tomorrow (going to be a expensive trip down the store!) Would the beasts be better in unit of 4 or 2x2 or other?

Thoughts please?, i did see some nurgle lists running a lord of change as the lord choice, with mainly nurgle units (assuming because of ld 8 from herald and only 9 from greater daemons). Is that the reason for it?, GUO with death is a killer for the comp score!.

Give the unit the HoN is in the Standard of Discipline and you have a ld 9 rerollable that doesn't benefit from the Inspiring Presence which thanks to our wonderful internal balance wouldn't benefit from anyways.

Why wont herald of nurgle benefit from IP?
