This is my list idea for my GK + Tau. I want an Aegis line in the list, but at 1750 I don't think I can justify dropping a Broadside for an Aegis Defense Line especially with all of the Ignores Cover going around.

HQ
Inquisitor Coteaz 100 pts

Troops
3 Servitors with Plasma Cannons 60 pts
10 Grey Knight Strikes with 2 Psycannons, Hammer (on Justicar), Psybolt, Rhino 290 points

The Twilight Zone

I disagree about putting the hammers on the Justicar. Going last in a challenge is a quick way to die. Hammers are best hidden in the unit as a contingency, halbreds are best for the sarge. High I gives you a decent chance of winning the fight.

What is the plan for the 3 servitors? Coteaz is a bit naked with only 3 bodies. You could put some more into this unit like 2 jokero, or some meatshield acolytes. Another option is to put em all in a chimera for protection.

The commander could use a neurochip. If you have spare points, the neuroweb jammer is always nice, maybe some flamers for overwatch, or an onager gauntlet. I assume he is rolling with the broadsides which eliminates the need for the C&C node.

Never take shielded drones on the riptide. If these die, you will have to take morale and that could end up with your riptide running. Dropping these can buy you a chimera for the plasma servitors.

Skyfire on the broadsides is nice, but really expensive. You may be better off just taking interceptor instead. With TL fire, you have a decent chance of stopping a flier. Particularly with the chip, as it will let you re roll armor pen and to wound against an FMC.

The most important rule of 40K-Page XVII of the 6th edition rulebook, the figure at the top right of the page. "Shake hands with your opponent and thank them for a good battle and fun experience." Then go out for a beer.

I see what you are saying. 21 Missile Shots into flyers having no Skyfire, but Interceptor is pretty good. You also get rerolls to hit and wound/penetrate which is amazing. It guarantees that flyers will drop. I like that idea a lot. I can definitely fit the Chimera in now, or I can take an Aegis Defense Line after dropping the Shielded Missile Drones and the Skyfire from the Broadsides.
