I've been playing a few 500 points games recently, and have been tempted to get a small contingent of tau. I want to make a small elite battlesuit force but don't know the best way of going about it. I have this in mind at the moment. Thoughts appreciated.

Commander - 2x Missile pods, Drone controller, Targeting system, 2x markerlight Drones - 150pts

Troops
XV8 Crisis Team x3 - 6x Plasma Rifles, Neuroweb System Jammer, 2x Targeting systems, Bonding Knives - 167pts

XV8 Crisis Team x3 - 6x Missile Pods, 2x markerlight drones , Bonding Knives - 183pts

The idea is that the Commander will hang back with the missile pod Crisis team, and use his drone controller to buff the maker lights. The Plasma suits are there to push damage on MEQ targets.

Markerlights, number of drones, and weapon compositions are things I'm looking for advice on.
I would ideally like to keep 6 battle suits.

Great list, My buddy ran a similar one, Just dont go near Melee units like he did and youll do fine = P.
I dont really know tau aside from what my buddy brings but he runs like a support commander with the systems that let you reroll and ignore cover (as an alternative to marker lights) dunno what there called though. but otherwise this looks scary to many meq armies.
