Hi all Returning to the hobby after quite a long break and was hoping you could hand out some sage advice with regards to this 1000 point list I have devised, it's based around the dark vengeance set with some more stuff added in to bulk it out.

HQ:

Librarian 90 points
-Mastery Level 2
-Uses telepathy

Troops:

Tactical Squad 240 points
-Plasma pistol, gun, and cannon
-Combat Squaded
-Razorback with H. Bolter

Tactical Squad 205 points
-Combi Melta
Meltagun
Multi Melta
Rhino

Fast Attack:

3 Man Bike Squad w/ plasmagun 78 points

Elite:

Terminator Squad 220 points
-assault cannon

Sternguard Veterans 165 points
-Storm Bolter
-4 Combi Meltas

TOTAL: 998 points

I plan to use the Imperial Fists Chapter Tactics, and incase you didn't notice, yes, I do love plasmas

I also recently realised the great anti tank potential of meltas so decided to give them a large role in the army also.

Looks good.. bikes could use Melta instead. Theyre your "scalpel"

Oh and SG need droppod. Lose the tactical combi weap and plas pistol.. and the odd stormbolter.

Sure!

My suggestions :

-Drop the Plasma Pistol
-Drop the Storm Bolter (you want your sterns to have special ammo, especially since there are only 5 of them)
-Drop the Razorback for a Rhino (the razorback with HB is a weak tank with very little added dakka at 1000 points).

-Add a Drop Pod to the Sternguard (and all with Combi melta)
-Change the plasma to melta on the bikes
-Change the 2nd tac squad to Plasma Cannon/Plasma Gun

Still keeps you at 998 points, brings your sternguard in behind enemy lines T1 to melt any high priority high AV target and gives you the plasma you like in slightly greater quantity (both tac squads carry it now). Then you can also choose to combat squad (or not) the tacs as your opponent and the game mechanics need each game .. if you don't, then you can cram them all into metal boxes instead of just half a squad.
