i was wondering whether its worth equipping melta bombs.
What do you think?

They're a nice [for you] suprise if you face lots of Vehicles/MCs.

The amount of times I've been in combat with something I can't damage and gone 'dammit, I wish I had some melta bombs' is unbelievable. They are usually worth the risk.

It's a typical thing.
When you equip them you probably won't need them.
If you need them then you forgot to equip them

Pretty much sums it up!

If I have 5 points at the end of a list, I toss one on. Most of the time, it gets no use. But that one time you are standing over the wreckage of a land raider --priceless.

They are more of an insurance policy incase you need them because eventually you will need them and when that time comes you will be glad you slapped them on your men

When a scout sergeant takes off the last wound on a daemon prince its worth it.

Its worth it to take if you have the space for sure.

My CSM sergeants always pick up melta bombs, incredible cheap for what they do

Melta bombs and a lightning claw makes a good substitute for a power fist for an all rounder Sargent.

Yep they are a good deal for the ability.

Yup, they often come in handy.

There is nothing more satisfying that a scout sgt taking out something big.

They're great for Guardsmen, since even with PF you'll only be Str 6

Back when I played UM, any time I found myself with 5-15 points to spare, I'd always slap on a melta bomb or so onto my sergeants. It was always fun to see my opponents reaction when that bolt pistol/ccw sgt destroys his best tank
