So I posted a completed tyrant guard the other week and i had some suggestions about washing the skin with a brown wash. I've obtained a nice brown wash but would you advise to wash the entire skin or only dark areas? I ask because i had bad results a long time ago from trying to use too much wash and dry bushing on some dark eldar skin.
2nd question. I've done some green stuff work to some hive guard and its my first time doing this type of patch work. I had already painted an area skin color where i had to fill a gap. Should i prime the green stuff and start over on the area or just go to a white layer paint and then use my skin tone on top of that? Does green stuff usually require a primer for lighter color pallets?
I know these are some basic questions but i find that getting answers from videos can be miss leading due a lot of things being subjective depending on colors you are using and styles... All of my models for skin color are primed white, then painted with ushabti bone. I use secret weapon purple wash for the deep bone crevices and may use the brown wash listed above with my current work.
