The Twilight Zone

Your avatar will benefit greatly from fast shot, as double tapped BS10 meltas rock. He rarely makes it to combat, but shooting is possible. Although not a huge threat in his own right, he meshes with the lords for MC saturation. Combined with the serpents the threat presence is good.

Since you have a spiritseer and 2 lords, consider the Iyanden rules set. The wraithforge stone would be nice, and allow you to not force the Avatar to be your warlord. Wraithforge stone+Lord warlord makes for a tough combo.

Your plenty heavy on AT, the dragons are probably overkill and better as your choice of scoring unit. Wraithcannons to the same job just as well.

Rangers are OK, consider swapping them to give a squad of guard D-scythes. Your a bit light on horde control, although rangers can be decent for linebreak/objective snatch as outflank, or snipers.

I would give the lords swords if you have the points, and preferably the same weapon(one dual scatter, one dual lance).

Mechdar will be a problem, as well as multi flier gunlines. Otherwise should be ok.

The most important rule of 40K-Page XVII of the 6th edition rulebook, the figure at the top right of the page. "Shake hands with your opponent and thank them for a good battle and fun experience." Then go out for a beer.

I agree with everything Dr. Sterling said plus I'd add:

Dire Avengers are meh save yourself points and get 10 guardians with a Starcannon. Less points more damage out put .

I don't like the all SL War Walkers give the SL+ShuriC gets you more So hits and rending on over half those hits and is cheaper the double SL for me is not a good option. Particularly on such a mobile unit as War Walkers. SL+StarC or double BL are for me the best War Walker combos in this book.

I'd also be more voracious in my dislike for Rangers or Fire Dragons. I'd never take either in this codex.

Also Monster Hunter is good on the Avatar. Just Helps him in the match up vs other T6+ MCs. Get Fast Shot first then get MH if you have the spare points.

Take the Magic: The Gathering 'What Color Are You?' Quiz.

Yes my Colour is Black but not for the reasons stated mainly just because it's slimming... http://imperiusdominatus.blogspot.com

Thnks very much guys. All taken on board. Can I ask why I would struggle against mechdar if I am overweight anti-tank?

Thanks
