I have created a 1,000 pts list to combat one of my friends. He is an Space Marine player, who favours using lots of anti-armour weaponry, and has developed his army and fighting style to deal with necron armies (4th-6th ed). He is far more experienced as a gamer than I am, and has never failed to beat my armies into submission. His plan hinges around using three Predators with varying equipment.
His army excels at the 1500-2000 points range, and I've decided to run a relatively low-points game in an attempt to bring him into unfamiliar territory, and then swamp him with more zombies than his army has models in a 2k game.
Here's my list:
- Typhus [230 pts]
- Plague Zombies w/+25 Zombies [150 pts]
- Plague Zombies w/+25 Zombies [150 pts]
- Chaos Terminators w/+1, MoN, 3 Power fists [168 pts]
- Predator Annihilator [140 pts]
- Heldrake w/baleflamer [170 pts]
He'll likely bring his Sternguard veterans above all else at this points range, and they will probably have some kind of flamer on them.
The plan is to stick Typhus in the Terminator squad, behind a wall of zombies (the predator likewise), and advance everything except the preadtor into melee range.
The Heldrake will maim and burn as usual.
