I see in the starter set, there is like 5 or so upgrade cards. Who can use them? I know the X-wing can use
the Photon Torpedo and R2 unit cards. How about the other 2 cards? I forget what they are, still playing
the starter rules.

If one person takes a card, I guess that would mean the other person is out of luck since there is only one
of them.

Me and my son just had 2 games, they were fun. He wants to use the more advance rules know and that
is when I noticed there is only one card.

So who gets it, if they want to pay the points for them?

Agies Grimm:The "Learn to play, bro" mentality is mostly just a way for someone to try to shame you by implying that their metaphorical nerd-wiener is bigger than yours. Which, ironically, I think nerds do even more vehemently than jocks.

Everything is made up and the points don't matter. 40K or Who's Line is it Anyway?

The other cards are elite pilot skills- only some characters (those with the medallion symbol) can take them- but there are no faction restrictions.

Q: What do you call a Dinosaur Handpuppet?

A: A Maniraptor

Any pilot card can be assigned equipment cards that match the icons in their bottom bar. That keeps all the faction stuff strictly to either faction (no Imperial astromech droids, etc) but all the other stuff like the medallion cards can be given to either faction's ships.

As you buy more ships you'll get multiple copies of the cards, and there is no limit to how many you can have in a list (within the normal limits of what upgrades each ship can take and/or cards that are specifically marked as unique). If you're sharing a set and can't get as many copies as you need I suggest just writing "marksmanship" or whatever on a scrap of paper.

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices.

I'd check out some of the squad builders out there. There is a good rebel/imperial one linked in the sticky resource thread, though last I checked it hasnt updated to include wave 3 ships yet.

The squad builders are nice as it shows you all the upgrade options your ship can take
