My gaming store is starting a escalation painitng campaign and I want to take this time to start up a new army. I have a lot of dwarf models, but I am drawn to the dark elves as well.

Help me pick please

You're not giving us much to go on here.

What style of army do you want to play? Where to you want your army to excel? And which models do you like the look of?

If you're drawn to the Dark Elves, like phatonic says, with the new Army Book being released next week, it's a great time to start. That said, if you already have lots of Dwarf models, then you'll be saving a lot of money by not having to buy as much. But that said, you could sell your Dwarves to help fund another army. So it depends what you want. That's all the advice I can give from what you've said.

Well, my play style really just depends on what I feel like playing. My main army is WoC which has options to cover pretty much all bases except shooting.

I like the idea of have a little bit of everything (Dark Elves: Shooting, Calvary, magic), but I like Dwarfs becuase of the thrill of not knowing if the war machienes are going to work right or if the anvil is going to go boom!!!! Always fun :0

I like the Cold One knights. Dwarf models really don't appeal to me in as much as the fluff and they way the army runs.

Getting in on the newest army could also be bad if the new book is weak. Which would be a risk. But GW seems to be doing a good job writing new books in both Fantasy and 40k (Chaos SM are debateable).
