So I have a duel with an old rival coming up later this week. I don't know what army he has, though I suspect Space Marines, Chaos Marines or Necrons. I am bringing my Eldar and the points limit is 1500 pts. No missions will be pre-determined, so for all intents and purposes this is an all-comers list.

100 - Farseer "Nimnor" - Shuriken Pistol, Witch Blade 1497

122 - 6 Windrider Jetbikes - 4 Twin-Linked Shuriken Catapults, 2 Shuriken Cannons

130 - Waveserpent - Twin-linked Scatterlaser, Shuriken Cannon
110 - 10 Guardians - Scatter Laser
130 - Waveserpent - Twin-linked Scatterlaser, Shuriken Cannon
110 - 5 Fire Dragons - Fusion Guns

180 - 3 Vypers - each with 2 Shuriken Cannons
160 - Crimson Hunter - 1 Pulse Laser, 2 Bright Lances

125 - Fireprism - Prism Cannon
125 - Fireprism - Prism Cannon
140 - Falcon - Pulse Laser, Starcannon, Shuriken Cannon

65 - 5 Dire Avengers - 5 Avenger Catapults

My goal with this list is to be balanced but dangerous. My HQ the Farseer rides in the Falcon with the Dire Avengers, and is hopefully Fortuning and Guiding it every turn. Everyone else pretty much plays their roles. What would you change or add? Is the Falcon better replaced by a Waveserpent? In this case I think not due to the force multipliers I can stack on with my 'seer, who will otherwise has no save ride for this mounted army. I have a Farseer on the bike. However, I am forcing myself to use all painted models, and he is not getting painted ANYTIME soon. So ... with that out of the way, all C&C is welcome. Thank you.

Guided falcons are OK, but serpents are generally still going to be better. A farseer is okay to just hang out with some guys in a serpent, but a spiritseer works equally good for this role. Bikeseers are the best way to go in this edition once you get yours painted.

All 12/12/10 skimmers need holofields, cut points somwhere to get them.

The most important rule of 40K-Page XVII of the 6th edition rulebook, the figure at the top right of the page. "Shake hands with your opponent and thank them for a good battle and fun experience." Then go out for a beer.

Lol, I meant Shuriken Cannon, good catch.

EDIT: So, you think the benefit of fewer & more durable units outweighs an extra unit in this scenario? I guess I just feel dirty taking holo fields on everything, after they are already so mean. What would you all suggest I remove? The Dire Avengers? Fire Dragons? I really want the Vypers because I like them, but it's true they tend to die quickly. In that same aspect, they can be used to draw fire and cause a diversion, since that's usually how I use them. Also, if I drop one unit for Holofields I'll probably switch out the Falcon as a ride and just take a 3rd Fire Prism instead. Because, you can't go wrong with 3, right?
