After experiencing the sweeping changes from 4th to 5th and from 5th to 6th with my Thousand Sons, and fighting against tons of different armies (including a few nice games vs. the new Space Marines codex), I'm under the impression that 6th Edition generally rewards balanced army lists.

I'm interested in playing either Sons of Orar or Celestial Lions, so that's Ultramarines vs. Dorn, right? I understand the Imperial Fists tactics, but I am a little unclear with tactics for using Ultramarines/making lists with them. Can someone who has experience point me in the right direction? Also, Sons of Dorn please feel free to add your 2 cents.

I'm not worried about tournaments, just having a nice balanced fully-painted force. I'd like to avoid Special Characters, but I do want to use a Chapter Master.

Thanks.

Oh, and if you lean towards Celestial Lions or Sons of Orar, let me know that too! I'm interested to see how popular these two successor chapters are among people.
