Hi,

A question arrived during my last game.
An opponent's FMC flied past one of my unit and exited the table.
Should he be allowed to vector strike or not?
As i did not find anything that would prevent it i said yes but am still wondering.

This is a heated debate, but the only requirement to trigger vector strike is to move over a unit which certainly has happened and there is no over arching rule saying special rules can't activate or resolve while off the table

Interesting thought. I will need to review the rules even more, particularly seeing it uses random allocation methods, to see if it makes any mention on how the wound are allocated. Then I will need to see how wound allocation is resolved for special rules that may fall outside of the assault or shooting phase rules. Just something else to add to the things I need to review when I am back at the books.

All just to answer 'does it require line of sight to allocate wounds?'

8th made it so I can no longer sway Tau onto the side of Chaos, but they will eventually turn aside from their idea of the Greater Good to embrace the Greatest of pleasures.

Well, Vector strike doesn't state that it requires you to be on the board or have line of sight, and you already have permission to allocate wounds via the Vector Strike rules, so I'd say yes, you can still allocate them even if the FMC/Heldrake has died/left the board.

You know what really bugs me? When my opponent, before they show up at the FLGS smears themselves in peanut butter and then makes blood sacrifices to Ashterai by slitting the throat of three male chickens and then smears the spatter pattern into the peanut butter to engrave sacred symbols into their chest and upper arms.
I have a peanut allergy. It's really inconsiderate.

"Long ago in a distant land, I, M'kar, the shape-shifting Master of Chaos, unleashed an unspeakable evil! But a foolish Grey Knight warrior wielding a magic sword stepped forth to oppose me. Before the final blow was struck, I tore open a portal in space and flung him into the Warp, where my evil is law! Now the fool seeks to return to real-space, and undo the evil that is Chaos!"
