Hello Dakka!

I'm looking to start a medium sized GK force to play games with friends and possibly play in some 'mini-tournaments' at my Local Hobby Store and GW. I completely skipped 5th edition as I put my hobby on hold due to study, so I'm coming straight from 4th edition into 6th, so hopefully if my list isn't exactly fantastic for 6th someone could slap me in the face and offer some suggestions! it'd be very much appreciated! (not so much the slapping)

So here it is:

HQ:

Coteaz

Troops:

GK Terminator Squad
+Halberds (not sure about these)
+Incinerator

GKSS
+5 Knights
+Psycannon
+Psycannon
+Rhino

Heavy Support:

Dreadnought
+TL Autocannon (R)
+TL Autocannon (L)
+Psybolts

Land Raider Redeemer
+Multi Melta

Total: 955

That gives me a massive 45 points to play with! any suggestions on what I could use these points for? A human shield of Warrior Acolytes (a potentially hold objectives with them)? More Psybolts? Hunter Killer Missles? I cant decide where to put them!

Thanks for taking the time to have a look, and like I said before, any input whatsoever would be greatly appreciated!

Sean

First, don't list individual point costs, it's against Dakka's rules.

A rule about GK is, if you can fit a psycannon, do it.

In a 1000 point game the terminators and the land raider aren't needed. You can have so much more for 500ish points, especially with Coteaz.

Henchmen spam works very well if they are supported by other units. A Dreadnought with the autocannons work very well at this. They are cheap and effective verse most units (even air).

I make bad decisions and think they are good.

I couldve sworn I removed the points costs on my first edit (they were only there to keep count), thanks for pointing it out though!

Thats sort of what I was thinking, seemed like there was almost too large an investment in the Land Raider especially, I am pretty much new to the gaming side of things but i've been doing my research but still aren't sure exactly what to put in my army for different points brackets. Are other types on henchmen worth using or are servitors generally a safer bet (I assume its due to the cost effective heavy weaponry)?

Thanks

Can never go wrong with Acolytes with special weapons and s few boltguns in a chimera.
