SO hey guys!
im thinking of playing whfb soon and i want to play the empire

so i want to start building a list now
any ideas

alot of empire state troops and handgunners
some cavalry
no big monsters
no magic
epic shiny heroes

there is no wAY that empire can do anything without magic
GET U SOME!
i play empire and i always take a level 4 wizard ALWAys!
even in a thousand points where thats my lord limit take it
or two level 2's

ok then i will take ONE wizard and he will be fully upgraded and stuff

you don't need magic. take the points you would spend on a level 4 and put it into artillery. Or take the points you would spend on a level 4 and purchase some generic captains for every unit, taking advantage of the hold the line rule.

I think it would probably better if you had a couple of lvl 2 wizards.
