Hey there Dakkanauts. I'm looking to start a small GK army and I was wondering if purifiers are any good at 1500pts? Or should I go with strike squads and a squad of paladins? Thanks in advance! I'm open to any GK list idea as long as it is actually GK and not inquisition retinue.

I am interested in purifiers, are they any good at all?

I run purifiers all the time. They're awesome against hordes. The are a little expensive for being pagk, but they are fearless and have 2 attacks base. CC is where they excel, and with the high amount of AP and better weaponry lately, they have a hard time getting into CC. They can wreck most anything once they get there though. Halberds are crazy cheap and they can have 2 special weapons per 5 models. A good way to get 4 psycannons into a unit without tying up Heavy slots. Most people don't consider them competitive anymore, but I still love to run them.

70 points to spare, add Psybolt ammo, 1 x Paladin or a hencheman unit.

32 x S7 AP4 Rending Psycannon shots on the move or 64 when stationary. Will devestate anything in range.

Very strong army at 1500 points, will beat most opponents not tailored to your force.

3 x Drakes/Riptides/LRBTs will ruin your day though.
