So I'm looking into making the fallen and running them as nurgle CSM either as allies or primary to some IG, now I'm a mech IG player but I do have some familiarity with blob IG. Avoiding vendettas but allowing hell turkeys what do you think a semi competitive list would look like? Any thoughts from dakka? Any experience running them?
Been thinking of tactics and one I had was if PM are as tough as people say I can use them as a wall and try to herd the enemy in their DZ so I can just bomb em with some artillery

Bonus if you have ideas to do it with tsons rather than nurgle

I would sign this contract but I already ate the potato

A friend of mine plays Nurgle CSM and IG.

He runs a list using Typhus, PMs, plague zombie guardsmen, a Leman Russ squad, a Hellhound squad, and an infantry platoon consisting of a lot of infantry and special weapons squads.

Awful hard to kill with 120+ models.

Tried this a few different times and end up with coming as more of a Guard with CSM Nurgle allies. I always find that I want MORE Guard and use the Chaos stuff as elite support. And an allied attachment just seems to roll out so much easier with Chaos.
My allies usually go something like:

Lord of some sort or Daemon Prince
cultists
Heldrake
Oblits
Terminators

Depending on what I'm bringing for my Guard will determine if I upgrade all the way to the Daemon Prince or stick with a Lord. Heldrake is a must. Oblits and Terminators fill different slots but can fill similar battlefield roles.
I look at it this way: When I play Guard, I always yearn for a dangerous melee beatstick. Ally CSM fixes that nicely.
