Stalwart Space Marine

I've been poking around the SM codex and been trying to build a new list for my Crimson Fists. In the past I tried to run a list that kept away from tactical marines all together, running instead 2 scout squads in speeders and the max 30 Sternguard. I've been trying to rebuild the list with the new book, but the landscape has changed and most of the upgrades don't look as good anymore. The heavy flamer looks nice, and having access to two special weapons seems good, but I'm not sure which weapons to take or how many combis to put in each squad.

Anyway, what I have looks like this. The scout loadout can change, but I'm set on keeping the fists in the Sternguard (it's so thematic!) and obviously I'm not changing chapter masters any time soon.

Pedro Kantor -- 185

2 x 5 Scouts - BP/CCW, Combi-Melta, Meltabombs -- 140
2 x Land Speeder Storm - Multi-Melta -- 110

3 x 10 Sternguard - Power Fist, -- 765
3 x Rhino -- 105

Any ideas on what to give the Sternguard? I still need to find a place to put Pedro as well....honor guard or terminators would be good in a land raider. Or maybe there are better options.

Well, Pedro should be put into the squad with the most close-range weaponary, in order to assault and provide a counter assault force. So in this squad, I would generally stay away from combi plasmas, which you will not get the best out of. Instead combi flamers and heavy flamers would work well, as long as you keep a couple of C-Meltas in the squad, in case you run into the odd tank.

Also for clarification, how many points is this list meant to be? just so I can work out what you can cram in.

That's actually what happened, Horus is secretly a Tervigon.
