If I want to combat squad my scout squad, turn half into camo/snipers, and the other half into shotgun/land speeder storm riders, am I required to buy camo cloaks for the shotgun guys also? My gut says yes but my hope says no. Worst case scenario I can buy just two 5 mans, but just wondering.

Combat squadding it's done in game. Since you build the list add one unit out 10, they all have to have them or none.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

That way,then left

At the moment you purchase options your unit is 10 strong, meaning that buying camo capes has to be for all of them.
You only combat squad them just before Deployment.

Good chances that if the shotgun toting Scouts survive, they'll be in cover. So the cloaks still help.

thats only C:SM as far as I know. Dark Angels still combat squad right before deployment. I'm sure other older codices with a version of this rule do not squad before warlord traits either and to be honest I'm not sure what codices have land speeder storms.

Armageddon, Pry System, Armageddon Sector, Armageddon Sub-sector, Segmentum Solar.

It depends on the listing.if it just says "any model may take" with out a qualifier than as few or as many may take them. If it says "the unit may be equiped with x at y points per model" then it's all or none.
