What would be best to support the guardsmen. A hellhound or a armored sentinel?

Hellhound, more durability and a much better weapon. The inferno cannon has an over 12 inch range where as the sentnal is just the template on its own.

I quite like all the variants. The hellhound is useful to get into an enemy front line quickley

The devil dog is good against terminators and vehicles

The bane dog is pretty awesome too, wounds on a 2+ with an AP3 its essentially a spacemarine killer
