Hey all! We all love L&TD right? Well i am starting a L&TD army with the IG codex! (yay) If its alright, would anyone like to post some pictures of their L&TD conversions, or direct me to some inspirational artwork or conversions you have seen? And if its also also alright, what would your proxy ideas be for certain units? I love the idea of mixing a plageclaw catapult and a chimera to make a manticore proxy of nurgle, you know? Due to limited ammo and the varied blast size? So its like they are lobbing concoctions into the enemy and stuff

Some other ideas i've thought about -

GW River trolls as ogryns of sorts, instead of ripper guns they puke on people!

Poison wind mortar teams! Imperial guard mortar teams, loading cannonballs from fantasy into the mortar, and painting them as if its noxious gas orbs! (definitely not stolen from the skaven )

Played Dawn of War II chaos rising? You know the plague champion's pile spewer? How about the L&TD get some of those beauties! Probably as a proxy of a melta or plasma gun i'd say, due to its corrosiveness

Vampire Counts Corpse Cart on the back of a chimera transport, look at it this way, Nurgle Guardsmen or something are losing numbers and are depraved enough to steal the bodies of the fallen, (friend & foe) and ressurect them or sew parts to their wounded missing limbs or organs, got the idea from reading about the death korps while watching Van Helsing

Plague Bearers mixed about with IG parts to make grenadier proxies, or "Plague Guard"

Warp Lightning cannon barrel on a leman russ to build a vanquisher or executioner proxy? A Tesla-Cutioner?

And one day, when the moon is full, and all my sanity is lost, i will one day. Find a way to build a nurgle blight drone proxy as a sentinel conversion. I dunno. i was thinking of the sentinel cockpit, with some sort of small circular rotors on either side, with an underslung lascannon or something, and the cockpit would be so horribly warped and converted it would kinda sorta be a blight drone

Anywho, before i lose myself ranting What are your thoughts on proxies and ideas?

Any ideas are welcome! Its L&TD! GO CRAZY!!!!

Lost and the damned = best army. All the cool stuff of the Imperial Guard with all the customization of chaos. As far as base models, chaos cultists in bulk are a good way to go. They're easy to chop up, cheap to acquire, and come stock with all their options.

Here's a Colonel Straken I use in my chaos IG army.

And a heavy weapons team.

Currently working on a Mythos army, with lots of mutants and tentacle-faced cultists that'll be led by Cthulhu (greater daemon of nurgle). Getting a lot of use out of the reaper Bones minis, especially the mindflayers and wizards.

Catachan, marauder, flagellant and chaos forsaken sprues make for good starts to any proper damned human.

Unless you make exact copies of our conversions, sell those copies in a package that states it was totally your original idea, and then also do an elaborate smear campaign to make us look like the copycats, no one should ever care if you use other peoples' ideas for inspiration.
People put pictures up on Dakka to motivate other people to improve and help the hobby grow (also to bask in praise).
