Hello

I have a question about the DakkaJet

According to the GW page the photo of the black Dakkajet has 4 weapons. It means I can buy 2 extra twin linked supa shoota for 20 points. I dont see any point limit even in the FAQ and the Death from the Skies book. In other words I can shoot 12 dice, 3 dice from each weapon?

Has 2, may upgrade for a third. The 4th (turret mount) is a different weapon

Yeah, its not the first time a picture has been printed where the weapons/wargear depicted are not actually allowed by the rules.

As per the rules, the most super shootas a Dakkajet can take is 3. Doesn't matter if a model has 12 different guns on it.

They've published photos of DakkaJets mounting Supa-Gatlas from Stompa kits too.

Doesn't really matter, as it will still be shooting as three twin-linked supashootas.

Orks get something of a pass when it comes to conversions and weaponry.

The kit that makes the Dakkajet can also make two other flyers. The turrets and bombs are for those other flyers.

if you were allowed to have any number of supa shootas you can afford.....they'd be a bit broken. Give them 4 more supa shoots and now youre shoot enough dakka to wipe anything not higher than T6 or AV13/14 off the board lol

No, not really. The Flyer rules put a hard cap on the effective number and it's not far above what they can actually take.

It does not say anything about limits. You can pay another 10 pts and add another supa shoota legally. I went to page 71 and theres no limit. Thats the reason is called DakkaJet to shoot a lot of bullets, not bombs.

This is the same as the nob with big shoota and power klaw GW has the picture on their page.

It might not specify how many you can have but 40k is not a permissive ruleset. If it doesn't say you can do something then you can't do it.
There are plenty of pictures where the model doesn't quite match up to the rules. Just because GW is silly doesn't mean you should be.

Actually, it does say how many you can take. "An" means one. If it said "take additional twin-linked super-shootas for x points, " you could take as many as you want. That is not what is written.

Garnering anything else from the entries in the book is plain wrong. Basic English language comprehension ftw.

40k IS a permissive ruleset... meaning you must be permitted to do something

You're playing Orks, and you ask whether it's legal to have more guns on your model than they can take in the rules? Orks can put any number of guns, anywhere, and nobody will bat an eyelid...
