My imperial guard have black pants. what can i add to the pants to give them more character besides just dry bushing them grey

Mud? Blood?



Skulls?

Leather holsters, ammo packs, knives, mud.

Kneepads? Make the boots more distinctive?

Do two lighter shades of black on the raised portions, the third shade never touching the base color. then maybe highlight the cargo pockets etc. Dust and mud look good too, dirty knees and pant cuffs, and dusty boots.

I got it. Fanny-packs.

Could give them a stripe running down the leg. Yellow for officers, white for grunts.

You could have a band painted on band around the leg, to mark out which squad the guardsman is in.

Skull camo!

You could add stuff like camo, holsters, pouches, edge highlighting, stripes, mud, blood

White splotches creating an arctic/snow camo pattern.
