The Twilight Zone

Howdy Dakka,

Have a game on Wednesday against Space Marines(Ultra or Iron Hands). The game is not tournament level competition, but not casual either. That said, were both trying new things. I have yet to use my Iyanden book, so I am taking the rules for a spin with a wraith/MC heavy list.

HQ

Avatar-Fast shot

Spiritseer-Wraithforge stone
Spiritseer

Troop

GuardiansX10: Serpent w/ TL scatter, shuricannon, holo field
GuardiansX10: Serpent w/ TL scatter, shuricannon, holo field

WraithguardX10

Heavy

Wraithlord: 2 flamers, 2 bright lances, glaive (warlord)
Wraithlord: 2 flamers, 2 bright lances, glaive
Wraithlord: 2 flamers, 2 bright lances, glaive

Dark Eldar Allies

Baron

KabbiesX5: Venom w/ 2 splinter cannons, night shields, trophies

Talos: TL liquifier, TL splinter cannon.

1995

The idea is to have the wraiths bubble around the spiritseer and wraithguard for voice of twilight/wraithforge stone. Hopefully I can also get renewer on one for more healing, or invisibility. The baron chills with the wraithguard and the venom is near the psykers for psychic boosting. The avatar rushes up as a distraction and might even get healed! Serpents are serpents, talos is just extra MC saturation.

Now I am considering some options. I could drop the ghostglaive from each warlord for the guardian helm on my stone bearer to prevent it from being sniped out. That said, T6 and a 2+ los is pretty good and I have the baron for a challenge chump should melee happen(or a wraithlord nearby). Might try to squeeze in a blaster for the kabbies by dropping the glaives, or swap up the weapon load-outs for the lords to round out AT/AI shooting.

Also, before anybody suggests a wraithknight-I don't own one and I won't have one by gametime. Yes, I know they are good, but no I don't have one. I have pretty much everything else at my disposal but walkers, dark reapers, vypers or either flier.

C&C welcome and appreciated.

I would drop the talos and get some warp spiders, I've been telling everyone to get them. Assault 2 str6 and rending with ap 1? hell yes. I think they'll have more synergy with your list than the talos.

It looks like a good list, post your results

Craftworlds Eldar: 8500
Dark Eldar: 1000
Harlequins: 1000
Raven Guard: 1500
Tyranids: 1500

I do like warp spiders, although the extra MC is nice...but I get what your saying. If I drop the talos I can get 5 spiders, and the blaster I want on my kabbies. Ill post a summary of how the game goes.

seams fun, but fyi you could gte 2 wraithknights for the price of those 3 wraithlords, with points to spare.

donht know how much better it would turn out, but thats 12 wounds instead of 9, and a tad eaiser to heal. because one wraithlord can easily be takien out before you can heal him. wraithknights last generally more than one turn, and should be able to be healed.
