Hey Dakka, my buddy challenged me to for a rematch of a game we played along time ago 750 points orks versus Dark Eldar (which i won)

So we thought wed up the ante to 1500
Heres what i got

I think im shy 20 points and i was just gonna throw eavy Armour on my nobs because i have OCD and cant stand having similar units have different wargear options haha.

Eavy armor is actually a good idea. Most DE shooting is AP5, so having the save on your character is nice. In challenges most characters will have a venom blade which wounds easy, but has no AP so also helps you survive to use the klaw.

The most important rule of 40K-Page XVII of the 6th edition rulebook, the figure at the top right of the page. "Shake hands with your opponent and thank them for a good battle and fun experience." Then go out for a beer.

Looks like a pretty heavy list. Do you know what he plans on bringing? I can really see Dark Eldar fliers ruining your day with their missiles, but chances are he'll only get one turn before your lootas tear him out of the sky.

Also, if you have the model you can drop a Deffkopta squad for a Dakkajet. It will obliterate anything the Dark Eldar can field.

Klaws are pretty much useless against DE unless perhaps they are on something fast enough to catch their skimmers

Personally I'd go for Big Shootas on the Deffkoptas. That extra range is sweet and I reckon that many shots at S5 is a better bet than less shots at S8 for both cracking skimmers and obliterating their contents

One KFF is of questionable value, two is definitely a waste of points. I'd ditch them and go for Lobbas instead

agreeing the klaws are useless vs DE.
1mek is all you need to protect most of your shoota squads. and if you do it right you can get all 4.
personally the deffkoptas are bad vs DE neither take big shootas and use the pts from the Pks and big mek for more lootas. or drop all of the deffkoptas for dakkajets with fighta ace and ESS.
overall i like this list. but we are list tailoring and this could use some changes.

Thanks for the suggestions, after i posted last night i was thinking about pulling the klaws out because he doesnt have much heavy armour other than a Ravanger which is 11 front i believe anyways? and the thing about them flying all over the map, Hmmm Instresting using big shootas on the deftcoptas ive always liked my str 8 ap3 and always have really good hits with them. But maybe ill test them out, I know he Normally takes 2 Raiders with warriors dark lances on the boat itself and heavy splinter thing. he takes a big mob for holding objectives of warriors. He loves his Venom/Archon Incubi Unit and will probably take his 2 Cronos/pain engine guys against my orks for there flamer and large blast templates. He only has 1 Flyer so i wasnt too worried about it, was just gonna use my lootas on it. But he isnt stupid he knows my Lootas are the strongest thing in my army against him.
Im sure hed let me proxy my Heldrake as a Dakkajet since majority of my army is Proxies anyways but i dont have the rules for them. Are they on the FAQ?
So Ill drop the klaws should i take big Choppas instead? or just leave em at ccw and pull the big mek and just fill out my Loota Sqauds.

I'd kick the koptaz and double your lootas and kick one kff and give the other kff armour, and give the nobs big choppas, instant kill elder and can crack their vehicles if you ever get to them, and get jets with what's left

The dakkajet rules are in one of the white dwarf magazines (dakkajet is on the cover, should be easy to find) and in the "Death from the Skies" supplement. It's worth having, in my probably biased opinion it is the best thing in the Ork Codex. They absolutely mulch infantry and light fliers. With the flyboss upgrade (and probably without it as well) they will burn through any Dark Eldar transport. Or you could pop a transport with your deffkoptas and shred the unit inside with shootas or your dakkajet.

If you do an ADL ..man it with a Quad Gun and a group of Grotz..

Deffkoptas provide you with a mobile section ..but big Shootas are Better than Rokkits in this case

Kannons are always a good cheap Big gunz choice and effective as well..

Groups of 9 Lootas are the shitznet ..they can Go to Ground and takes 3 of them dead before they roll for Leadership and can hide in most terrain..Run lots of Big Choppas.

A group of lootas behind an ADL is amazing. You can go to ground for a 2+ cover and still hit on 6's the next turn. Also, since your Quadgun is BS2 as well, you don't necessarily have to man it with your lootas, they can target something and quad gun can target something else since they both hit on 5's.

I've found Dakkamite's ork advice to be excellent. Pay attention to him.

- Lootas at 10 allow it to go to ground with Ld of 10.
- A Waaghing Dakkajet will tear him a new a-hole, but will likely succum to DE ranged attacks with ease. I can't remember which side of the argument (DakkaJet vs Lootas) Dakkamite is on, but I like them both.
- Grots are OK for manning the gun but a loota will work too.
- If you like the rokit koptas, use them. Don't listen to us.
- double check the big choppa, I think it strikes at I=1 anyway, which makes the klaws more attractive, but Dakkamite probably knows better than I do.
- Consider a SAG instead of one of your KFF. It's pretty fun. Don't roll double ones though.

Big choppas attack at regular I but it doesnt really matter versus de with I 5 All over.
Surprsingly enough when i run SAG i always roll 5's so it really inst worth it. I want the extra Survivability from mass Poison fire.
I dont think ill run the dakka jet just because i dont know if hell run his air unit and tbh im not really afraid of it but granted i havent seen it in action. I think the best thing against de is bodies and just overwhelming number of shots.

I agree Dakkamites Suggestions in general on the site are top notch for orks.

As well as the rest of you thanks for your input and suggestions muchly appreciated

dakkajets are the bane of DE from orks! str6 18shots bs3 that rips up any of them glass skimmers hes got! dakakjets rip up the units and their 5-6 saves dont help. rarely have i used a dakkajet for anti air. i prize dakkajets over lootas highly in most situations.

the Major Advantage of Choppas over Klaws is Price ..unless your facing a lot of Landraiders or monoliths the Big choppa Beats the PK. and an extra 80 points to spend on extra dakka never hurt ...

Hilariously enough that Razorwing almost pushed your Warlord off the table, Buddy

Also +1 for the Dias of Destruction's AV13, you definitely didn't see that coming!

But for the record, Guitarquero's list was victorious over my DE simply because he easily controlled the table with that many Ork bodies.

The klaws may be useful depending on whether or not the DE player is planning on taking Incubi or not. Those guys will, believe it or not, really do some damage in CC, because of their Demiglaives, they are either AP 3 or just Ignore Armor. And they have an armor save of 3+. So, if you know that they are taking Incubi, then take the klaws, otherwise I would agree with everyone else and drop them for a Big Choppa.
