I wanted to make a GK list that has some Skyfire, so I was thinking about bringing in some Tau to help with that. Please let me know what you think. I also have some pts to spare. I would perfer heavy comments on the Tau portion rather than the GK side. Should I even bother with Tau as ally support? Thanks

Heavy Support: Broadside with Velocity Tracker

A single broadside with V tracker wont do much, and a commander can only really shoot 2 of those 3 fusion blaster (unless you twin linked a set (not really checking your points))
as well its incredibly short range. so unless your directly under it you wont get melta ether.

If anything what you want is a sky ray as a boat load of st 8/3 shoots is decent.

Otherwise bring the broadsides in 3s with interceptor and HYMP, they are better at killing a wide band of things and can be used when the enemy flies in.

Then if so you can make your commander a buffmander with M3s and a chip for ignore cover tank/monster hunting goodness.

Honestly, you have 20 twin-linked S7 shots plus 4 twin-linked S8 shots already I don't think the tau are helping your anti-flyer much.

Second as an ally troop I think kroot are better. FW do well in large numbers but kroot can outflank and grab objectives.
