Hey guys

Not sure if its been asked before (If so apologies), but I had a question regarding the lambda shuttle.

I recently bought one and I heard a rumour that opening and closing the wings can cause damage to the model?

Is this true? anyway to avoid it?

cheers

Redeyed

I don't think you have to worry too much about breaking anything. A few people have taken them apart and just glued them back together again.

The wings do have some issues with folding to 90 degs, but apparently they're not supposed to do that in the first place. Even though they seem to in the movies according to FFG they're designed to fold out to 76 degs not 90.

Durban-South Africa. Like schwow man!

Interesting, because the box art has them folded past 90 degrees.

Yeah, most art does... But here's a quote from a FFG CS rep, that someone posted on their boards.

The picture that you linked to that is roughly the same as yours, is the intend stopping point of the wings for the Lambda Shuttle. Please be aware that the Lambda Shuttles wings sit at about a 77/76 degree angle from the body - not a 90 degree angle. When it comes down to it, we work intensively with Lucas Arts to make sure all of our models are correct. Before any go to market, all of our models are approved by Lucas Arts and is consistent with their wishes and is with in universe consistency. I hope that helps clear up any confusion you have over your model.
