I've decided to reorganise my Panzergrenadiers using the Panzers to the Meuse PDF. (Link)

Panzergrenadierkompanie / Confident Veteran

Headquarters
Cmd & 2iC SMG/Panzerfaust teams = 65

Combat Platoons
Cmd SMG/Panzerfaust team & 6x Panzergrenadier MG/Panzerfaust teams = 245
Cmd SMG/Panzerfaust team & 6x Panzergrenadier MG/Panzerfaust teams = 245
Cmd SMG team, 4x HMG MG42 teams, Observer Rifle team & 2x 8cm GW34 teams = 200

Support Platoons
2x Panzer IV 70 (V) = 300
Cmd SMG team, Staff team, Observer team & 4x 10.5cm leFH18/40 teams = 215
2x SdKfz 234/2 Puma = 100
2x StuG G (Late) & 1x StuH 42 = 295
Command SMG team & 3 Flak 38 ( 2cm) teams = 75

Total = 1740

Any suggestions? There are options for captured M3 halftracks for the Panzergrenadier platoons for +20 points which could be interesting and Assault Rifles for them which are +25 points for the 'upgrade' al though I'm not sure it genuinely is an upgrade. I could also downgrade the Pumas 234/2s to 234/1s for -25 points.

Do they then become Assault Rifle/ Panzerfaust teams? I like the list, has a nice little side of everything. Except Air Support, and German LW AS is not, IMO, worth the points.

Yes they become Assault Rifle/ Panzerfaust teams, it's an upgrade for two squads (four bases) and the command team. of any Panzergrenadier Platoon. The thing is they're only more useful for engaging enemies within 8" (or 14" if you count the move). In all other situations, they're the same or worse.

I can have (sporadic) Me262s which are really cool looking, one of my favourite planes of WWII but I'd have to remove a platoon as they're 100 points. I'd also need to find a 1:100 model of it.

I've played around with this list - the biggest problem is you have too many panzer fausts - the units are too expensive IMHO. Same problem with volksgrenadiers.

You also need more long ranged AT as well I feel - any sensible enemy will sit 10.5 inches away having dealt with your 5 tanks and blast away at your infantry!

I find a good mix of RT artillery works best supporting these guys, as it's cheap! Also with all those MG teams why the HMG's?

I'm not convinced that they are real weaknesses. I would stay well away from the RT artillery though, they are cheap for a reason.

It looks fine to me, some minor variations on what I would pick (heavy mortars over artillery every time) but the list itself is quite restrictive, at least in terms of points. The one problem that I noticed is that Panzergrenadiers don't have access to Pumas, the only recce they have are Panzergrenadier scout platoons so its probably best to scrap recce entirely and maybe try and fit in another infantry platoon.

I have no idea why assault rifle teams have always been overcosted.

Do not underestimate the Squats. They survived for millenia cut off from the Imperium and assailed on all sides. Their determination and resilience is an example to us all.

Its just a shame that they couldn't fight off Andy Chambers.

Is this Lehr PGs?

Lehr can take the IV/70s, but it cannot take 4 MG42s in the Heavy Platoon, nor can it take M3s

No Pumas can be taken by the MotoPGs either. Only MotoRecce Scouts.

A list I have in mind

HQ
PG w TH
PG w TH
Hvy w 2x MG42 + 4 x8cm (attach MG42 to PG platoons)
HvyMtr- 4x12cm
4 PzIVJ
3 PzIV/70(v)

1750/6plts

Thanks guys, I made some pretty goofy mistakes writing that list. I was hoping to keep the list generic but I think I'll have to go with Lehr. A shame as I was looking forward to buying some PSC M3 halftracks and painting them up in a US/German hybrid scheme.

'Lehr' Panzergrenadierkompanie / Confident Veteran

Headquarters
Cmd & 2iC SMG/Panzerfaust teams = 65

Combat Platoons
Panzergrenadier Platoon (Cmd Assault Rifle/Panzerfaust, 4x Assault Rifle/Panzerfaust, 2x MG/Panzerfaust & Tank hunter) = 290
Panzergrenadier Platoon (Cmd Assault Rifle/Panzerfaust, 4x Assault Rifle/Panzerfaust, 2x MG/Panzerfaust & Tank hunter) = 290
Heavy Platoon (Cmd SMG team, Observer Rifle team & 3x 8cm GW34 teams) = 90

Support Platoons
Tank-hunter Platoon (2x Panzer IV 70 (V)) = 300
Motorised Artillery Battery (Cmd SMG team, Staff team, Observer team & 4x 10.5cm leFH18/40 teams) = 215
Panzergrenader Scout Platoon (Cmd MG/Panzerfaust, 2x MG/Panzerfaust w/ Kubelwagens) =135
Assault Gun Platoon (2x StuG G & 1x StuH 42) = 285
Anti-aircraft Gun Platoon (Command SMG team & 3x Flak 38 ( 2cm) teams) = 75

Total = 1745

Everything should now be legal (and the right points ). I think it will be interesting to experiment with infantry who can counter attack (not in the game mechanic sense) and pin enemies without external support. Regarding the armour/AT, the amount is very similar to my current list which features two Tigers and three Brummbars so it will probably do ok.
