I have been having a lot of success with this list and I put it down to the inclusion of three things.
Points: 50/50
Lord Commander Stryker (*6pts)
* Ol' Rowdy (9pts)
* Stormclad (10pts)
* Squire (2pts)
Black 13th Gun Mage Strike Team (4pts)
Storm Lances (Leader and 4 Grunts) (11pts)
Stormblade Infantry (Leader and 5 Grunts) (5pts)
* Stormblade Infantry Officer & Standard (3pts)
* 2 Stormblade Infantry Storm Gunner (2pts)
Major Katherine Laddermore (5pts)
Stormblade Captain (2pts)
Rhupert Carvolo, Piper of Ord (2pts)
Stormsmith Stormcaller (1pts)
the three things I am talking about are the Storm Lances, Laddermore and the Stormblade captain. I have found that the ability to have almost universal pathfinder with the Corvolo and the captain's imparted relentless charge makes the army very mobile. I can switch from screening my lances and Laddermore with my Stormblades to having my Stormblades make the initial strike thanks to tactics imparted from the captain again. Now even if the captain is killed I can still run my Lances to a flank to make some worry and so far out of the last few games I have played the Lances starting on a flank. The enemy is now having to deal with multiple attack vectors from the Stormblades, Stormclad, Rowdy, Lances with Laddermore and even Stryker himself. The Black 13th were added for anti incorporeal and solo hunting reasons , the Stormsmith for anti solo or disruption( speaking of disruption Stryker's Pistol is SO useful, 2 shots with disruption is excellent). Anyway I have had no less than six game winning streak with this and everyone has been surprised by the Lances just putting the hurt on Jacks, Colossals and Beasts. eStryker's advance movement for Stormblades ads more movement, Deflections ads more armour and tough from Corvolo can make Stormblades a great screening force. Stryker's feat is excellent for keeping momentum going and reaching those back line troops of choir, beast handlers or gator witch doctors. Anyway I am really loving this list and I am putting it into a Tourney this weekend and I am just looking forward to the response. Please ask any questions either by post or pm and I will try to answer it.
