Is there any case in the fluff of Logan Grimnar fighting alongside a great company other than his own? I'm thinking of painting up Krom Dragongaze's great company but I would like to use some named characters in it from time to time. Also, which great company is Lukas a member of? I haven't seen any mention of it in the fluff.
Thanks

Grimnar's Great Company is basically a regular company just with the Chapter Master in charge.
Not sure about Lukas the Trickster. His fluff seems to imply he travels between the various Great Companies.

The way the Space Wolves work is that each Great Company is kind of like its own, self-contained mini-Chapter, so there's probably not a lot of movement of people between one Great Company and another, most especially not its leadership.

Of course, you could say that Logan was just over here for a visit with Krom.... to drink beer, crush enemies and hear the lamentations of women... when some combat broke out and that's why he's on the table.

It is best to be a pessimist. You are usually right and, when you're wrong, you're pleasantly surprised.

You could also just use Grimnar's stats and say it's Dragongaze's second in command or something...

Yeah I had the feeling that the great companies were almost like mini chapters, and hence little movement. However, Space Wolves love nothing more than to bash skulls in and I figured that when it comes to a good fight, Logan could lend his experience to another great company. Hearing the lamentations of their women is also a great reason.

There are occasions when Great Companies will fight together, or elements of them might be working separately while the main Company goes off elsewhere. The defence of the Fang in particular seems to fall to whoever's around at the time.

If a fight's big enough multiple Great Companies will take part, and if he's there, Logan Grimnar will generally be in command.

The Great Wolf is one who is loyal to any whom he had fought beside along with having drank and feasted with. Ordinarily the mighty Sky Warriors respect one another's cunning and power to leave them to their own battles. But that is not to say that they would not be the first to come to a shield brother's aid.

That bit of awesome aside I can see Logan along with Arjac and one other Wolf Guard or Logan and a Wolf Priest showing up to oversee Krom putting some Bloodclaws or something through the ringer. Then again Idk if you're trying to be fluffy >< I mean I think you are so I stand by: Logan and his small little squad of Wolf Guard showing up to help out if the call was made.

As for Lukas most of the heroes are in Logan's company(Njal, Ulrik, Arjac and Bjorn the Fell-Handed). Exceptions being the obvious Canis,Ragnar and Bran Redmaw. I believe it's implied that Lukas is one who often is shifting between the companies...only to cause trouble mind you...But I'd wager he too is under Logan's Great Company. Someone needs to be patient enough with that Trickster...or how else has he lived for so long? lol XD
