After a long night with the pacific rim soundtrack on repeat I powered through the majority of the reaper bones Cthulhu model.

My only hard part left are the wings. See, I've always thought Cthulhus tiny lil wings seemed sort of useless, like the elder god equivalent of an appendix. So I thought about painting them up to resemble extending gills like some species of salamander have. Or maybe they act more like a radar dish to amplify his madness, so they'd be all swirly and hypnotic. Either way I don't want to do plain bat wings.

Also going to cover him in swirly tattoos, liking how they came out. As for the base, going to do some water effects crashing up on his little beach and try to find some slimy seaweed to strew everywhere.

So comments, criticisms? Suggestions for what to put on his wings, ideas for evil god tattoos?

Thanks. It's nothing but the new GW green glaze, applied with a thin brush. The glazes work really well for tattoos and skin markings of all kinds. Blue on pale flesh for celtic woad tattoos, green on slimy mutants for slimy mutant gang signs, etc.

Did a little more work on him, still not sure what to do about the wings.
