You have to take account of the time difference too.
Not only is it the weekend, but as I type it's only just past nine in the morning.
I'm not expecting an update quite yet.
I'm hoping for good sentry guns, plus a character upgrade (Hicks, Hudson, Drake, Vasquez, Gorman, etc)
I'd love the ability to frag Gorman to cause a diversion
An APC would be nice in the future, but wouldn't fit in the game, it being a Space Hulk style corridor layout.
Maybe if they do a miniature game.
I'm in this for the Colonial Marines, the Aliens and the Predators are just a bonus.

110k seems imminent.
I look forward to the next stretch, I want some sentry guns.

I like the look of the £120k stretch goal, the Berzerker Predator.

I want to see what we get from the Weyland-Yutani stretch goals.
I'm hoping for Bishop and Burke. Maybe some W-Y Combat Androids, or civillian staff.

If you refer a friend, (the friend has to be after the announcement, hence backer number) you both get a freebie.

We've also moved to the 900 pledgers level, which is still a far cry from 2000 pledgers, but I like to think we're slowly getting there.

We are only about three days in though, I expect to get to the 2000 mark.
So far we're at the level I wanted to get to as a minimum (sentry guns), although I would like to see some more characters.

At the moment I'd be very surprised to see either the APC or the Dropship.
This is, after all a board game, and they are outwith the scope of the game.
If it's successful and the tabletop game goes ahead, then I would expect them and more besides.

Has there been any news yet on what the next pledge target, the 'Resin mission markers' might entail?

Yes, it's a set of four Alien Egg Sacs.
It's in the latest update.

£165 (Real aliens plus £10 for shipping) is about as high as I'm prepared to go.
I don't need two boxed games.

I've not seen anything I don't like yet, with the possible exception of the medic, and that can be fixed with a posing and basing change.

I'm going to come in on the side of casting flaw.
That said, it doesn't look particularly bad, and nothing that can't be fixed with a few minutes work.
It's the sort of thing I'm not surprised to find on a resin model.

I doubt it, we're through 240k easily with nothing heard.
I think we'll be seeing the power loader soon though.
The 2000 backer bonus is off the cards though, I think.
I can't see another 600 backers coming in on this,
I hope to be proved wrong though, I'd like to see the Queen before the end too.

The rules don't really matter, there are plenty of gaming rulesets out there that could easily be adapted, or I can make up my own.
The models on the other hand, are what attract me to this.
Now, from what I've heard from the open day, the rules are fairly good for a beta product, so I'm not too worried on that score.
I'd like to see more renders of the actual models, but again, I'm impressed by what I've seen so far.

It's an exciting time
I had some pledge credit I didn't know what to do with, problem solved.

I'm in at "You Want a Piece of Me? You Ugly Son of a …"

I'll be selecting, assuming I've got my numbers correct,
The Box Game,
3x Dice sets (one of each faction)
1x Queen,
5x Warriors,
5x Marines,
1x Powerloader,
5x Weyland-Yutani Commandos,
1x Female Predator,
3x Youngbloods,
2x Hellhounds,
3x Predators,
1x Alien Eggs,
1x Weapons pack,
1x Predator Ship Tiles,

I'll get a free Sgt, the sentry guns, two Berserkers, a set of Resin Tokens (Marine ones), a Praetorian, and the Rule book.

I know I could get better value by taking a free marine squad and buying the Sgt with pledge credit, but this is neater.
That £8 model really throws off the final total.

I wonder why this is out of stock...

I may well pick one of these up when they come back into stock.

Is the smart gun supposed to connect to the trooper's harness in some way?

Yes.

If you look at the pictures of the squad contents on the Kickstarter page, you can see the piece that joins the torso to the gun.
I suspect that photo is from the open day, and that the model wasn't complete.

The smartgun harness is actually a stedicam mount used by cameramen.

Just got this.
llo backers,

It's important for us to say that the Kickstarter page was initially removed by mistake, but now we have decided with Fox that it might be better to stay down until the product you have pre-ordered has shipped.

This is the same for our Facebook media and images that were uploaded there. From here on, we only want to share information about the final products you will be receiving, rather than work in progress imagery or text.

The project is almost finished, we are in the final stages of approval and therefore it will be ready to ship soon.

We are not able to give an approximate date for shipping at this stage, but as soon as the final elements of the project have been approved, we will calculate printing time, assembly time and shipping time and then share the final date with you.

Thank you for your continued patience,

Mine was delivered to Saudi Arabia yesterday, I got the retail copy despite being a Kickstarter backer.
It's going to cost me almost as much as a new box to ship back to exchange, and I already am getting the predator ship tiles.
I sent an email last night, we'll see what happens.
I don't see why I should pay £60 for shipping to fix their screw up.

Mantic have never made a miniature that comes even close to the quality of these AvP minis.

Quoted for truth.

I've got my AVP models on my desk right now, having just finished assembling and basing them.
They are some of the best quality models I've ever worked with, and I've been at this sort of thing for 30 years.
The level of detail is jaw dropping, I can't wait to paint them.

Mantic, well, I'm reminded of the saying "Cheap, good, fast. Pick two."
