Can you please have a look though this list and let me know what you think, I am very keen to try and keep it themed around drop pods, flames and melters. I played my first game with it this afternoon and I got a quite convincing win with it against Guard Mec army. I don't normally face more than one flyer at this point level and the Storm Raven took care of that quite well.

Is it that bad a list ?

Hey Cranney,

Just getting back into 40k and building my own sallies list.

Overall it's a very nice list and each squad is specialised which I like to see.

One thing I think you should consider is replacing the assault marines with regular tacticals - then that group is also scoring! This gives you a unit for sweeping the enemy from their backfield and taking it as your own.

Downside is you pay for the pod and you can only have one flamer on the regular guys, but the squad is cheaper and the sergeant can take a combi flamer (making the bolter part mastercrafted for free as he's a character).

Once you get to 10 guys you are paying only an extra 10 points (2 points per model) to make them scoring! And the only difference is that you have a combi flamer instead of the second regular one.

Second thing I noticed was a wasn't completely sure of the role of the plasma cannon squad? Your back table objectives? If so might I suggest a squad of camo cloak sniper scouts with an aegis defence line and quad gun? Beefs up the anti air and not many more points if you can squeeze it in.

Yer your wright matey it is for back field objectives and so far its the only unit in my army I aint sold on yet. The rest works very well but I will keep you updated.
