I recently spotted what looked like a nice deal on ebay for an Epic SM force, $35+ shipping got me 150 Tactical Marines(30x 5 man stands), 15 Rhinos, 12 Whirlwinds, 8 Land Randers and 3 Mk 1 Thunderhawks. Seeing the sheer volume of models and the price I couldn't resist and went all out for them.

Of course I hadn't looked at an epic book before in my life till today, and I am wondering how table worthy of a force I have at the moment, and what my next steps should be?

From the glimpse I've taken into the pdf's on GW's site most of my fire power will be in my Thunderhawks, with the Raiders backing them up and the whirldwinds dropping templates over targets to keep them from engaging properly.

I am thinking some Hunters and Terminators should be the next addition to my SM force, but this Epic greenhorn is all ears on tips and advice.

Also should I splurge for some flight bases for the Thunderhawks or would a spare five man infantry base be fine?
