quick question regarding orks...

I noticed i can swap the entire ork boy squad armaments in exchange for shootas, however i can add a nob who has a slugga, if i change the whole squad to have shootas in place of sluggas and choppas, will the nob have a shoota by default too? Because my nobs are modeled to have shootas ._. Thanks if anyone can help!

this sorta seems like wording losses to common sense but not sure.
my say is no. because the nob upgrades say he may replace his choppa with one of the fallowing weps.but if he replaces his choppa n sluga how can he replace his choppa he dose not have it?
or maybe im over thinking and its been FAQed
i have always treated a boy nob in a shoota squad to have a pistol.

Goddamn, that's awfully disappointing, hopefully when the rumored codex comes, we can take shootas on nobs!

You can't give him a shoota, he has his pistol, you can give him any upgrades, however, many people don't know this, you cn give him a big shoota, the option for big shoota says any model in the mob, or it says any ork it doesn't say boy

"For every ten Orks in the mob, one Ork may exchange his slugga or shoota for:
Big shoota....+5 Points per model"

Why can't he have a shoota? It says 'The entire mob may replace their sluggas and choppas with shootas..." As he is a model in the mob, he'd get a shoota (unless he'd already taken a power klaw or a big choppa, as per the FAQ).

I guess he can then, I see no point though, considering if you did he now can't have a power claw
