So I sprayed some metal models with GW Purity Seal, and it, like, frosted it, sort of. It really lightened the paint job, and now they have this faded dusty look. I know that was a really vague description, but if you've had this happen before, you know what I'm talking about.
Is there a way to remove it, or do I need to just strip them and re-paint? Thanks for any advice.

Utilizing Careful Highlighting

Gloss spray will fix the problem for the same reason you can see through a frosted glass window by putting scotch tape over it. Light diffusion, light going through the frosted glass is diffused and bounced around by the texture of the frost, resulting in it reaching your eyeballs in a garbled state. By covering it with a smoother layer of gloss, the light is no longer diffused and hits your jelly organs in a much clearer state.
Make sure to shake that can up like you're practicing for the 2014 Self-pleasuring Summer Olympics though, often the stuff in the can that keeps frosting from happening will settle and all you'll get is Warhammer Frosted Flakes, a pretty crappy part of a balanced breakfast.

DO NOT EVER USE ANY GW SPRAY FOR ANYTHING.
Instead:
Primer: P3 product
Matte Seal: Testors Dullcoat.
In the future test your spray on a junk bit to make sure it's cool.
Nothing worse than ruining a good paint with shoddy spray.
Sorry that happened:(!!

Purity seal, also known as Putridy Seal, has got to be one of GWs worst products ever. Seriously, they should be ashamed of themselves for actually charging money for this paint job destroyer in a can. It's been God-aweful for years, they know it, and you'd think they'd have fixed it by now. Oh, wait, that might require some concern for the consumer and some money. My bad.
Testor's Dullcote is my go to for several decades now.

I couldn't agree more. I support GW still but purity seal is a cancer to your work. Testors Dullcoat ftw.

Usually I use Krylon sealant. But I live in a small town, and couldn't find any.
