So I took a quick pic to show a friend my progress, and thought it would be rude not to share with my fellow Dakkites!

I can take more pics if people are interested, but that's all I've got for now!

Looks great.I love this model and have been thinking about buying one. I particularly like the bone color you have going. The blends are very nice

Thanks very much to both of you!

I was very lucky to grab him when Maelstrom met their unfortunate demise, so I bagged him at more than half off. Even at full price I wouldn't have felt cheated, but be aware that this is not an easy kit to make, if you intend to use it for any play, it will need pinning in several locations, and there are numerous very delicate parts too, even as an experienced modeller, it was a challenge.

I wish I could give you a handy guide to how I got the bone, but it was essentially bleached bone, calthan brown and vallejo sepia ink glazes over a scorched brown basecoat and copious mixes and fiddling about until I felt it looked right.

EDIT
@BrotherVord
Apparently, pledgers on the latest KS will get access to a special section on the Mierce site with higher discounts, I believe on everything they make. Might be worth chucking the basic pledge in for that alone? There is more than this guy on here that is above spectacular, and even more to come. (I'm in for about $150, and the only reason I haven't pledged higher is because I can't afford it!)

Solid recommendation. I wish I could find some size comparison pics of him e with the forgeworld bloodthirster.I know they are similar but I'm in the market for one or the other and like them equally in terms of aesthetic. So I'll end up going with the one the gives me more model for my dollar. Since price isn't a factor
